What is House of Flame and Revelry?

House of Flame and Revelry creates immersive fantasy-inspired events, festivals, and retreats designed to bring book lovers and creatives together in real life.

What is Calan Mai?

Calan Mai is a multi-day fantasy festival featuring live music, authors, performances, immersive experiences, themed spaces, and a vibrant community of readers and creatives.

Where is the event held?

Calan Mai takes place at Jackpot Ranch in Camp Verde, Arizona.

What are the event dates?

Calan Mai 2026 runs from Thursday, May 28 through Sunday, May 31.

TICKETS

Are tickets refundable?

No. All ticket sales are final.

We do not offer refunds under any circumstances, including illness, travel issues, schedule conflicts, weather, or event changes.

This also applies to:

  • Payment plans
  • Add-ons
  • Upgrades

What happens if I miss a payment on my payment plan?

Payment plans are non refundable. If payments are not completed, your ticket may be canceled and all prior payments will be forfeited.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes.

Tickets can be transferred for a $10 transfer fee. Transfers must be completed through the official ticketing system.

Can I upgrade my ticket later?

If upgrades are available, you may upgrade by paying the difference in price. Availability is not guaranteed.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Payment plans are available on select ticket types. All payment plan purchases are final and non refundable.

EVENT EXPERIENCE

What is included with my ticket?

This depends on your ticket type, but may include:

  • Access to live music and performances
  • Entry to themed spaces and experiences
  • Access to vendors and food trucks
  • Author panels and bookish programming

Higher tier tickets may include additional perks such as VIP areas, drink tokens, or early access.

Is this event all ages?

Yes. Calan Mai is an all-ages event.

Some areas, such as the White Raven Night Club, are strictly 21 plus with valid ID.

Can I leave and come back?

Re-entry is limited and only allowed during designated event breaks. Outside of those times, no re-entry is permitted.

HEALTH, SAFETY, AND POLICIES

What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?

The event takes place rain or shine. No refunds will be issued due to weather or environmental conditions.

What if the schedule or performers change?

Event programming is subject to change. No refunds or credits will be issued for schedule adjustments, lineup changes, or modified experiences.

Is the event safe?

We prioritize safety and will have staff and security on-site. That said, all attendees assume personal responsibility for their safety while attending.

Can I be removed from the event?

Yes.

We reserve the right to remove anyone without refund for:

  • Harassment or unsafe behavior
  • Disruptive conduct
  • Failure to follow rules or staff instructions

CAMPING & TRAVEL

Is camping available?

Yes. Camping options are available as add-ons and must be purchased separately.

Are RV spots available?

Yes. Both full hookup and dry camping options may be available depending on your ticket selection.

Is parking included?

Parking may require a separate pass depending on your ticket type.

FOOD, DRINK, AND ALCOHOL

Will there be food available?

Yes. Food trucks and vendors will be on-site.

Can I bring alcohol?

Is alcohol served at the event?

Yes, in designated areas. You must be 21 or older with valid ID.

PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA

Will there be photographers and videographers?

Yes.

By attending, you agree that you may be photographed or filmed and that this content may be used for marketing and promotional purposes.

VENDORS & SHOPPING

Will there be vendors?

Yes. Calan Mai features a curated market with bookish, fantasy, and artisan vendors.

Are vendors responsible for their products?

Yes. All vendor purchases are handled directly between you and the vendor.

MISC

What should I wear?

Anything that makes you feel magical. Costumes and themed outfits are encouraged but not required.

What should I bring?

We recommend:

  • Comfortable shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Portable charger
  • Layers for evening weather
